This triptych says a lot about the 2001 National Champion Oklahoma Sooners. The left panel is the front page of the Miami Herald the morning after the Orange Bowl Game covering Oklahoma’s victory over the Florida State Seminoles. The center panel features my three tickets to the game, one of which is signed by former Head Coach Barry Switzer who I met on the sidelines while he proudly watched Head Coach Bob Stoops in only his second season with the Sooners lead his team to be undefeated. Below, Heisman Trophy runner-up Josh Heupel is pictured on the cover of Sports Illustrated three weeks prior to the game. The right panel is a special section by The Herald included in the morning-after publication.
