Facade Designer
Job Summary:
As a Cladding and Facades Designer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing designs that enhance the visual appeal, functionality, and sustainability of buildings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop unique cladding and facade solutions that meet project specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and design objectives.
Develop innovative cladding and facade design concepts that integrate aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.
Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and 3D models using CAD and other design software.
Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods for cladding and facades.
Ensure that designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Create and present design proposals and visualizations to clients and project stakeholders.
Review and analyze construction documents to identify design discrepancies and provide solutions.
Participate in site visits and inspections to oversee the installation and quality control of cladding and facade components.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and sustainable practices to provide the most innovative design solutions.
Collaborate with the project team to maintain project timelines and budgets.

CAD Technician
The CAD Technician will undertake a variety of design activities including but not limited to, manufacturing drawings for our projects so that they can be followed by the manufacturing operatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinate the design process between the design department, external consultants and production.
2. Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, production drawings and more complex drawings (if required).
3. Detail design
4. Produce fabrication drawings to allow the factory to fabricate and manufacture our products.
6. Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes or additional details
7. Review architectural plans, specifications, and other customer documentation.
8. Maintain excellent client relationships
9. Liaising with clients, project managers, and colleagues across the business from the factory floor through to the leadership team.
10. Responding to site queries as required.
Education & Training:
Required:
Knowledge of software and skill including using 2 & 3D CAD / other 3D modelling software such as Revit, as necessary and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
A good working knowledge of CAD and the ability to read drawings.
Good working knowledge of general manufacturing
CAD designing experience
Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent
Desirable:
Knowledge/Experience in offsite construction is not essential but advantageous
An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods is advantageous
Good working knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015
Architectural / Design or technical background is not essential but is advantageous
